The craving for something hands-on
Tired of screens, I went looking for a hands-on creative outlet. It started with polymer clay, then candles, anything I could shape with my own hands.
The story
hand.
Shared with intention.
ARK Experience is a personal project. One maker, one kitchen and formulas refined until they're worth sharing.
The maker
Hi, I'm Yana. By day I work in marketing, eight hours at a screen
every day. A few years ago I started craving the opposite, something slow and tactile
.
I wanted an activity outside of work where I'm not staring at a screen but making something with my own hands.
That craving took me from polymer clay to candles to my first soap workshop in Bangkok, and then all the way into natural body care. I've studied and made it in Thailand, Malaysia, Canada and online, and the formulas I share are the ones I use every single day.
ARK Experience is my way of passing that on. Not products to buy, but knowledge to keep, explained the way I wish someone had explained it to me when I started.
How it started

Tired of screens, I went looking for a hands-on creative outlet. It started with polymer clay, then candles, anything I could shape with my own hands.

My first soap-making workshop at Bangkok Soap Opera. Suddenly body care wasn't a product on a shelf. It was a craft I could learn.

I studied natural body care in Thailand, Malaysia, Canada and online. I tested, failed, reformulated and slowly built formulas that hold up in Thailand's year-round heat.

These are the formulas I make and use every day for me, my family and my friends. Now they're guides, so you can understand and make them too.
In my kitchen
I make it myself at home. Soap, deodorant, body butter, all of it. This is what that looks like on a normal week, between work and everything else.
What I stand by
Plain-language science, never fear. You'll learn what each ingredient does, not what to be scared of.
Nothing reaches a guide until it's been made, used and reformulated in my own kitchen, often for years.
Natural means origin, not automatic safety. What matters is formulation and concentration, and that's what I teach.
Every guide is written for your very first batch. You don't need craft skills. You need a scale, a thermometer and a few kitchen basics, plus a mask for the powder-based guides.
Your first batch doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to be yours and safe.
